RALEIGH, N.C. — Two men walking in downtown Raleigh were injured in a hit-and-run accident in on South Saunders Street Friday morning.
Capt. Dennis Poteat of the Raleigh Police Department says officials are looking for a white car, possibly a four-door Chevrolet, with damage to its left side. He said a woman was behind the wheel.
"She left this private parking lot somewhat out of control and struck two people. One was pinned up against a fence and sustained some injuries that we are very concerned about. Another person sustained some superficial cuts and bruises," Poteat said.
Both victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Police are talking to people in the area who may have witness the accident.
