Cary Police Identify Suspect In Attempted Murder

CARY, N.C. — Cary police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a suspect in the attempted murder of Bernade Gutierrez-Cadena, 27, of 102 Ramsey Court in Cary.
Warrants have been issued for Amagaliel Quiroz Sanchez, charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Sanchez is a Latino male, 21 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds.
Cadena was found Monday in the locked trunk of his Ford Mustang in the parking lot of Misty Woods Apartments in Cary. He had been severely beaten and stabbed numerous times.
According to police, Cadena was able to force his way through the backseat into the passenger area of the vehicle, where witnesses discovered him after he opened the passenger door.
