Raleigh Departments Seek Additional Funds From City

RALEIGH, N.C. — The

Raleigh Fire Department

and

Parks and Recreation

will make their cases for budget increases in front of the city council Monday afternoon.

The fire department is requesting an extra $8,800 for training supplies and for the regional Urban Search and Rescue Program.

Parks and Recreation is asking for $60,000, saying the money is needed for equipment, salaries, adventure programs and supplies.
