Eighth Rabies Case Reported In Cumberland County

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — The state Public Health lab in Raleigh has confirmed an eighth case of rabies in Cumberland County.

A raccoon was picked up off Raeford Road at the All American Expressway Wednesday.

People in the Buckhead and Montclair subdivisions should remain alert for sick or abnormal acting wildlife.

Cumberland County Animal Control officials will be in the vicinity to let people know about the latest case.
