Wilson Authorities Investigate Double Homicide

WILSON, N.C. — State and local authorities are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman at a home in Wilson.

Investigators were called to a house at 4574 Evansdale Road  at about 3:30 p.m. after a family member of one of the victims went to the residence and found the victims dead inside, authorities said.

Friends and family told deputies they became concerned after they had not heard from the victims for a few days. Sheriff Wayne Gay said the bodies might have been inside the house for at least a couple of days.

Gay also said that there does not appear to be any forced entry into the house.

Authorities have released no other details about the victims, cause of death, possible suspects or a possible motive.

The State Bureau of Investigation arrived at the scene shortly before 8 p.m. and was also investigating.
