SANFORD, N.C. — Two Raleigh men were killed in a single-vehicle accident Sunday in Sanford.

The fatalities were identified as Cesar Neria Vizuet, approximately 20 years old, and Ediberto Parra Morales, of unknown age. Investigators said Morales was the driver.

The accident occurred at Horner Boulevard and Cole Street. The vehicle apparently was traveling north when it missed the curve, ran off the road and struck a utility pole in the vicinity of Fins, Furs and Feathers pet store on Horner Blvd.

Vizuet was pinned inside the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Morales, who also had been pinned inside the vehicle, was transported to Central Carolina Hospital and then airlifted to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, where he died.

Two other passengers, who had been riding in the backseat, also were injured. Victorico Barrera Martinez, 26, was in stable condition Monday at Central Carolina Hospital. Martinez Ortega, age unknown, was in good condition Monday at UNC Hospitals.
