RALEIGH, N.C. — Some new police officers are ready to hit the streets in Raleigh.

Twenty-seven men and women earned their badges Friday from the Raleigh Police Academy. The new officers completed over 1,000 hours of law enforcement training.

Each of the graduates will be assigned to one of the department's six districts. They will work under a training officer for a few months.
