PEMBROKE, N.C. — An 18-year-old from Maxton, N.C., was killed Thursday in a traffic accident that left three other teens hospitalized.

Robert Terry Moore died in the 3 p.m. wreck that occurred when the car he was riding in collided with a dump truck on U.S. 74 just outside Pembroke.

The driver of the car, 18-year-old Ladoona Revels, and two other passengers, 16-year-old Terry Revels and 17-year-old Patrick Revels, were transported to Southeast Hospital in Lumberton in unknown condition.

All the teens attended Pernell Swett High School in Pembroke.

According to investigators, Ladoona Revels was turning her Ford Focus onto U.S. 74 and failed to yield to a privately-owned dump truck. The Focus struck the truck -- killing Moore, who had been riding in the front seat.
