RALEIGH, N.C. — Take that, Mr. Grinch!

The spirit of giving and cooperation has foiled a cold-hearted grinch who stole 30 frozen turkeys on Thursday from the freezer of a Raleigh church that planned a weekend dinner for the homeless.

Friday, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina donated 40 birds to the Family Worship Assembly so the dinner can proceed as planned.

The church hoped to feed 200 needy people. Now the congregation should be able to help out even more.
