FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — It took four years, but the widow of a firefighter has finally settled her lawsuit.
David Sharp died in 2000 when an Amtrak train hit the ladder truck he was driving.
Sharp's wife sued CSX Railways, saying it played a role in the crash.
Now, CSX and Sharp agreed to settle out of court. She gets $50,000 and CSX admits no fault.
