Procession Held In Honor Of EMS Director Who Died Of Cancer

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — A special procession was held Thursday for an Emergency Management Services director who died suddenly of cancer.

Nick Waters died Wednesday, just six weeks after learning he had the disease. He was 60 years old.

In honor of Waters, several fire trucks, Highway Patrol cruisers and other vehicles drove from Hillsborough to Cary.

Waters will be buried Saturday.
