Authorities say 26-year-old Randall Dunn, of Wendell, was found dead inside a car near Tarheel Clubhouse Road and Blackbeard Lane in eastern Wake County.
The owner of a petting farm in the area reportedly found the car at the premises shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday. The owner found Dunn's body in the passenger seat of the vehicle.
Investigators said the car does not belong to Dunn. Witnesses said the vehicle was not seen near the petting farm around midnight Tuesday.
Authorities reportedly found wounds on Dunn's hands, but no injuries on his body that would cause death. An autopsy performed Thursday did not shed any more light into how he died. They are still waiting on a toxicology report.
