RALEIGH, N.C. — You have probably noticed the high price of milk these days. It could go even higher.
In just two weeks, the price of a gallon has jumped $1 to an average of $3.
Dairy farmers say they do not have enough cows to meet the demand for dairy products in southern states.
High feed costs are forcing some of them to sell off parts of their herd for beef.
Dairy economists predict another 50-cent increase in milk by next month.
