Student Charged With Setting Fire At Wilson School

WILSON, N.C. — Investigators say a 15-year-old student has been charged with setting a fire at Toisnot Middle School Friday morning.

The fire started around 7:20 a.m., causing excessive damage to an office near the guidance counselor area of the school.

Fire investigators estimate damages at $2,500.

The school was evacuated and no one was injured.

The student is charged with a felony and is being held at a juvenile detention center pending a hearing.
