Former Hoke County School Safety Officer Cleared Of Assault Charges

RAEFORD, N.C. — A former school safety officer in Hoke County has been cleared of assault charges.

A judge found Robert Crull not guilty of assaulting a student in the cafeteria at Hoke High School last year.

The trial lasted just two hours.

Crull lost his job as an auxiliary police officer in Raeford after the incident. He said he plans to rejoin the force.
