RALEIGH, N.C. — A plan to take some of the politics out of statewide judicial elections has hit some snags.
The Public Campaign Financing fund would pay for a non-partisan voter guide. It would also help fund judicial candidates who accept strict fund-raising and spending limits.
You can tell the state to put money in the fund when you file your taxes, but some tax software do not include the question. Others give limited information.
The State Board of Elections said the fund is not even close to having the amount needed.
