<b>HARNETT COUNTY, N.C.</b> — There could be beer in Barbecue by next week.

Voters passed a referendum last week that allows beer and wine sales in the Harnett County township.

Town officials made the results official Tuesday. A variety of inspections and the sheriff's signature are necessary to secure a liquor license.

The referendum was the first of its kind in the state.

On Tuesday, the man's mother, Sonya Williams, said her son Darryl Williams was the man who died. He was 32 and lived in Raleigh.
