Fayetteville Museum's Payoff To City May Take Longer Than Expected

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — It is going to take a little longer than expected for Fayetteville's Airborne and Special Operations Museum to settle its debt with the city.

Museum officials said it is going to take about 60 years to repay a multimillion-dollar loan from Fayetteville, which is more than three times as long as originally estimated.

The first projection was based on yearly payment of $215,000, but the actual payment will be closer to $70,000 a year.
