CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A Cumberland County grand jury has returned 21 more indictments against a Fayetteville businessman accused of embezzlement.
Anthony Allen is now accused of bilking 24 elderly people out of a combined $4.8 million. However, prosecutors suspect there may be hundreds of other victims.
Allen has been in jail since October.
Prosecutors call the embezzlement case the biggest in Cumberland County history.
