City Council Holds Off On St. Aug Stadium Plan

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh City Council holds off on a decision for a controversial stadium proposed for St. Augustine's College.

City leaders presented a scaled-back plan Tuesday, which cuts seating in half, eliminates events after 7 p.m. and bans concerts. Neighbors complained that the original plan would increase traffic and noise.

College leaders will now review the report and decide what they want to do next.
