Harnett Mother Whose Child Died In Pit Bull Attack Will Face Charges

Posted Updated

HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A 3-year-old boy was killed by a pit bull and his mother will face charges.

In January, officers in Harnett County found Nathan Roy Hill's body next to his neighbor's chained-up pit bull. Christy Gambill will face misdemeanor child abuse charges.

Gambill has been out of the state for about a month. Officials suspect she is in Texas.

Gambill is expected to appear in court April 1. If she does not appear, she will be arrested.
