Driver Pleads Guilty In Accident Killing Robeson Student

LUMBERTON, N.C. — The driver charged in a deadly accident in Robeson County last year will not serve any time in jail.

Nellie McClean, 66, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor death by vehicle on Monday.

Priscilla Norton, 15, was killed on April 16, when she was struck by McClean's car as she got off the school bus.

McClean was given a 45-day suspended sentence and one year of supervised probation.Her driving privileges were also revoked for one year, and she was ordered to pay a fine and court costs.
