Vandals Strike Durham Outreach Ministry

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — The crowds who line up for a hearty meal at "Changing a Generation Outreach Ministry" will have to settle for snacks instead.

Officials said thieves cleaned out the charity's upright freezer Sunday, making off with thousands of dollars in steaks, chicken, hamburger and french fries.

Officials said vandals actually broke through a fan and entered the Durham building.

A keyboard and boom box also were stolen.
