Bankrupt Textile Plant Pays Off Debt To Henderson, Vance County

VANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Bankrupt textile company Harriet and Henderson made good on its debt to Vance County Monday.

The company paid off more than $200,000 in owed taxes to the county and the city of Henderson. The money came from the sale of its South Henderson complex.

The yarn company starting closing plants three years ago. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July.
