Cary police are looking for a man who they say broke into a house and exposed himself to its occupant.

The intruder apparently opened an unlocked sliding-glass door at a house in the Patrick Circle area near Walnut Street and Donaldson Drive shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Thursday.

He exposed himself to the woman before fleeing the residence, authorities said.

Police said they believe he may be linked to two recent cases of indecent exposure that have occurred in the area since Sept. 1.

"It's very important for everyone in Cary to keep all their doors locked—especially at night—and to be extra vigilant as we work to apprehend this offender," Cary Police Capt. Dave Wulff said. "We believe there are additional victims, and anyone with additional information is urged to contact us."

The assailant is described as a white or Hispanic male who is 23 to 27 years old. He is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, had dark hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with green stripes and gray sweatpants.

Anyone with information about the case should contact Cary CrimeStoppers at 919-226-CRIME or the Cary Police Department at 919-469-4017.
