Bulls 5, Red Sox 4

— Brent Abernathy went 4-for-4 tonight for the Durham Bulls in a 5-to-4 victory over the Pawtucket Red Sox.

Toby Hall hit a single in the eighth-inning that broke a 2-2 tie.

Delvin James earned his first victory even though he gave up two runs on four hits in one and two-thirds innings. Brad Cornett retired the last four batters for his second save.

Abernathy hit the second pitch of the game for his seventh homer. He now has nine hits in 14 at-bats in the first three games of the four-game series.
