RALEIGH, N.C. — After a ten year building boom, Wake County school leaders want more construction money ... 550-million dollars for new schools and renovations. The school board just voted to ask the county for an October Bond referendum. As Stephanie Hawco reports county leaders aren't sure it can be done without raising taxes.

Wake County Commissioners will decide whether to put to bond referendum on the bond on the ballot and how much they'll ask voters to approve. Commissioners are reluctant to talk about a NEW tax since they just raised property taxes.
