HENDERSON, N.C. — Three people were charged with murder Friday in connection with the death of their 74-year-old relative, authorities said.

Margaret Cobb died Tuesday morning after spending several days in Maria Parham Medical Center. Authorities said her relatives failed to take care of her medical needs, including getting her medication.

Her son, Bryant Cobb, 48; his wife, Sandra, 47; and their daughter, Jessica Arrington, 26, have been charged with second-degree murder. They were charged Tuesday with neglect in the case.

There is no word yet on the cause of Margaret Cobb's death.
