Posted Updated

BENSON, N.C. — A man who used newspaper photos and a phone book to stalk women will spend 14 days in jail.

James Jones, of Benson, pleaded guilty to 50 different counts of stalking, indecent liberties and placing harassing phone calls. He will also be required to register as a sex offender when he's released.

Police say he saw teenagers' photos in the newspaper, looked up their parents' numbers, called the homes and made explicit remarks.
