Capitol Broadcasting Could Get Naming Rights For New Durham Arts Plaza

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham city leaders could vote soon to give Capitol Broadcasting, WRAL's parent company, naming rights for a new performing arts plaza.
Capitol Broadcasting would pay $300,000 a year for up to 20 years for naming rights.
The plaza would feature a performance center that would seat 2,800 people. It could offer a variety of mid-size performances throughout the year.
The plaza would be located next to the
American Tobacco Historic District
.
Construction could start within the next couple of months.
