WILSON, N.C. — Members of the Golden LEAF Foundation approved a grant Thursday to put up $1 million to help lure a pharmaceutical company to Wilson.
The unidentified company could bring up to 300 jobs to an area hard hit by layoffs.
The Wilson Economic Development Council is also offering the company $7 million in incentives.
Some of that money could come from tobacco settlements.
