RALEIGH, N.C. — A controversial nightclub in north Raleigh has closed after city officials cracked down on it this summer.
The Supper Clubb, which opened in 2003, has vacated its property near the corner of Spring Forest Road and Atlantic Avenue.
The city suspended the club's amplified entertainment permit in August after several cases of illegal activity, including assaults, in and around the business. Club owners lost an appeal of that decision last month, meaning they could operate only as a restaurant.
