Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police have identified a body found late Thursday morning as 45-year-old Timothy Snyder.

Search and rescue dogs from the Triad area found Snyder's body in a ravine behind a house on Vickers Avenue, less than two blocks from where he was living on Morehead Avenue.

There were no apparent signs of foul play. The body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill for an autopsy.

Snyder was last seen at the Learning Services group home on Morehead Avenue Saturday evening. He recently suffered a stroke and an aneurysm and has limited mobility. He left the home without his blood pressure medication.
