Second Suspect In Durham Bulls Employee's Slaying Surrenders

DURHAM, N.C. — A second suspect in the slaying of a Durham Bulls employee surrendered to police Wednesday.

Jameel Ray, 19, whose last known address is 200 Seven Oaks Road in Durham, is charged with murder in connection with the death of Jerome Gilbert.

Several men attacked Gilbert, 56, on Aug. 21 while he was walking on Meriwether Drive, police said. He died Sept. 19 from his injuries.

Damion D'Andre Wilson, 19, of 4001 Meriwether Drive also has been charged with murder in the case.
