Deer Gets Stuck In Raleigh Culvert

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — School buses did not have a problem with the cold conditions Friday in Wake County, but one animal had some issues with its morning commute.

A deer was stuck in an icy culvert off Buffaloe Road in Raleigh.

Animal control got there quick enough to save her. They had to shoot her with a tranquilizer dart before pulling it out of the mess.

Unfortunately, animal control officers said the doe had to be put to sleep because she suffered internal injuries and had internal bleeding.
