HENDERSON, N.C. — The city of Henderson will continue to manage Vance County's fire and ambulance service.
Vance County commissioners extended the city's contract for another six months.
There had been talk that the county was ready to end the long-standing arrangment, but many of the commissioners decided the joint venture worked fine and that there was no reason to change it.
