<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — The city of Durham is taking legal action to tear down one of its biggest eyesores.

Officials said they will file a lawsuit condemning the Heart of Durham motel. They said they have complained about the property's broken windows and empty swimming pool.

The property itself has been deserted since the mid-1990s.

The motel owner's lawyer said the company is prepared to fight in court.
