RALEIGH, N.C. — People scared by the flu outbreak apparently are willing to go to any measure to get a shot. They are even turning to illegal vaccines.
The
Food and Drug Administration
is investigating several attempts to bring unapproved vaccines into the country. It is urging health-care providers to buy vaccines from reputable distributors and telling patients to accept vaccines only from a licensed health-care provider.
