FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — More than 1,000 needy families got a helping hand Tuesday.
Cumberland Christian Center in Fayetteville handed out hundreds of bags of groceries. Each sack was stuffed with bread, veggies, fruit, meat and eggs.
It only took a few hours for the entire supply to run out.
It is the center's first year giving away food and the pastor plans to do it again next year.
