HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — The Orange County Health Department will be offering a small supply of the FluMist nasal inhalant flu vaccine beginning Friday at 12:30 p.m.
FluMist is a weakened, live influenza spray that is administered in the nose. It is only for healthy individuals between the ages of 5 and 49 with no allergy to eggs.
There is a fee of $25 for the vaccine, no charge for Medicaid patients.
FluMist will be available Friday from 12:30 to 5 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at the Orange County Health Department at 300 West Tryon Street in Hillsborough.
