<b>ELM CITY, N.C.</b> — Christmas lights may be to blame for a fire that destroyed a Wilson County home.

Investigators say flames swept through the house in Elm City, quickly destroying everything inside. A woman and her three sons escaped from the home unharmed.

Investigators say it appears the fire was sparked by malfunctioning lights on an artificial Christmas tree.
