Durham Police Investigate Bank Robbery

DURHAM, N.C. — A masked man armed with a gun robbed the Central Carolina Bank at 2714 Erwin Road Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the man entered the bank around 4:15 p.m. and placed a black bag and a gun on the counter in front of a teller. The man fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The man is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 to 180 pounds. He had piercing blue or green eyes and a pale complexion. He was wearing a black mask, a blue hooded jacket, dark pants and black sneakers with a white stripe.

CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,200 and the North Carolina Bankers' Association is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
