Autopsy Results Show Louisburg Woman Was Strangled

SPRING HOPE,N.C. — Police in the Nash County town of Spring Hope are investigating the murder of a Louisburg woman.

Yolanda Carroll Barfield, 33, was found dead in her vehicle Saturday at theold Masonite Plant on Barbee Street. Autopsy results suggest she had been strangled.

Barfield was reported missing from the Subway Restaurant in Spring Hope when she failed to show up for work earlier in the day.

Anyone with information is asked to call Spring Hope police at (252) 478-5197 orCrimestoppers at (252) 977-1111. Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for info leadingto the arrest and conviction of the offender(s).
