Police Investigate Shooting Death Of Woman In Durham Store

DURHAM, N.C. — Police in Durham are investigating the shooting death of a store owner Wednesday night.
Police said Obad Yakdani, 38, was shot and killed just after 7 p.m. inside Rollins' Grocery Store-- known also as Mike's Mini Mart -- on the corner of Driver Street.
Neighbors said the victim and her husband bought the store a couple of months ago.
Police said the motive behind the shooting was robbery and the suspect got away with money.
At this time Durham police have no suspects.
