Merchants and neighbors gathered Sunday for a neighborhood tree lighting ceremony complete with Santa and a few of his helpers.

The Christmas tree itself is a little different. Several  local artists designed it completely out of steel.

The tree is located on Fairview Road, near the Five Points Post Office.
