Pet Lovers Respond To Durham Animal Shelter's Dilemma

Posted December 8, 2003 3:34 a.m. EST

— Since a WRAL story aired, more than 30 dogs at the Durham County Animal Shelter have been adopted, and others have been set up in foster homes.

On Monday, WRAL told viewers about a construction project at the shelter that was forcing out dozens of dogs.

Officials say the shelter still needs help because all the dogs have to be out by Dec. 7.
