Man Wanted For Questioning In Edgecombe Murder Found Dead

EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — A man wanted for questioning in connection with a deadly shooting in Edgecombe County is dead.

When investigators went to Marvin Wade's home and asked him to come to the Sheriff's Office to take a polygraph test, he went into his bathroom and shot himself. He later died at the hospital.

Investigators wanted to talk to Wade about the killing of Arcille Whitaker.

Whitaker was shot to death in her son's home last week.
