DURHAM, N.C. — There are more visible signs of the transformation under way in downtown Durham.
Crews were busy painting and restoring the logos Friday on the Lucky Strike Tower as part of the American Tobacco Project.
The project is transforming old tobacco warehouses into 1 million square feet of office, retail and living space.
About 75 percent of the space is already leased. The companies should start moving in next June.
Capitol Broadcasting Co., WRAL's parent company, is developing the campus.
