RALEIGH, N.C. — State officials are considering a plan that could allow crop dusters to spray closer to homes and schools.
Right now, crop dusters are not allowed to spray within 100 feet of homes and 300 feet of schools, hospitals, churches and nursing homes.
Some believe the residues can cause health problems, but farmers say the rules are too strict.
