DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham councilman was in a little hot water after breaking a city code.
John Best was issued a warning for operating a business out of his home without a license. A neighbor complained after Best moved a portable storage unit onto his property.
Best does have a home business permit, but he said he did not transfer it when he recently moved.
The councilman apologized and said he is moving the storage unit.
